Showga is a carefully curated experience involving breath, vinyasa flow yoga, live music performances, and visualization exercises. Showga is not a typical yoga class or a typical concert, but a festive fusion of the two. Leave feeling open, connected, energized, and inspired!

Showga in Oakland has moved from weekly to monthly. Each month’s event will be bigger and better than ever! We are pleased to announce Chuck Johnson as the musical guest for November.

Chuck Johnson is a composer and musician residing in Oakland, CA. He approaches his work with an ear towards finding faults and instabilities that might reveal latent beauty, with a focus on guitar, experimental electronics, minimalism and soundtrack composition. Balsams - Chuck’s latest album and pedal steel guitar debut - delivers a group of pieces for ambient meditation. Pitchfork has described the first single “Riga Black” as “building a mournful hymn out of layers of sliding strings, cascading with a zenlike stateliness…”
