BEAST CRAWL is Uptown Oakland's annual free literary festival featuring more than 200 writers in a single night, in dozens of events, spread out over four hours and thirty-eight local galleries, bars, restaurants, cafés, performance spaces, and storefronts. 

From 7-9pm Starline is hosting: 

Tourettes Without Regrets has been called "The Fight Club of Underground Art". Featuring spoken word, comedy, burlesque, a rap battle, circus performers and audience contests.  The Show is held the 1st Thursday of every month at the Oakland Metro Opera House. Tourettes has been a staple of the Oakland art scene for over 16 years. 

Every city should have its own unique literary identity, and Beast Crawl is the beating literary heart of Oakland.
