"Singing in both English and French, Canadian-Californian songcrafter Madeline Tasquin leads the listener on a musical journey from jazz to folk to soul, from sassy pop ballad to delicately dark fairy-tale, delivering it all with a stage presence that radiates. Gorgeous musicality and a powerful voice are Maddy’s signature talents as she spins stories of the natural world, the cosmos and the business of being human in a genre-defying manner. WATCH Madeline Tasquin live at the Freight and Salvage, Berkeley
Keraki, or “Little Candle” in Greek, is an intimate, old fashioned acoustic Greek Rebetika band led by Oakland’s own Greg Jenkins (Fanfare Zambaleta). Come early so you don’t miss the romantic illicit tunes of 1920’s Mediterranean cafes brought to life in the modern day with timeless skill and reverie.
Alright friends, I hope to shee you shoon. Vive la vie!
